Using this approach, systemwide synchronization with picosecond precision can be achieved in spatially extended networks in the presence of cross-coupling time-delays equivalent to many thousands of periods of the oscillators involved. Together with our collaborators we will use our experience in mathematical modeling, circuit-design, signaling-solutions and experimental tools to design mutual synchronization solutions for applications in, e.g., next-generation mobile communication networks, localization services, cloud computing and globally distributed databases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>circuit design for PLL nodes adjusted to mutual synchronization, e.g., for multiple external inputs<\/li><li>theoretical models that can accurately predict the properties of synchronization in a given network configuration<\/li><li>network design and adjustment of the PLL node characteristics according to the synchronization requirements<\/li><li>develop time-synchronization protocols, test and calibration tools<\/li><li>entrained mutual synchronization to establish long-term accuracy with respect to a higher level time-reference<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We enable the application of mutual synchronization in large, spatially-distributed clocking networks.
