Business Models

Mutual synchronization can provide the means to engineer the next-generation synchronization solutions. The synchronization of time- and frequency can be achieved in the presence of signaling time-delays of many then-thousands of periods of the individual oscillator's frequency. At clock frequencies of 24 GHz for example, that relates to synchronization at distances of hundreds of meters. Handling the complexity of mutual synchronization can enable its application and special capabilities for your products in the near future.

Engineering

Design and development of customized synchronization layers for electronic and optical systems, focusing on large spatially distributed systems.

Consulting

Whether mutual synchronization or the combination of mutual synchronization and hierarchical entrainment is the best solution to a synchronization task can be found in consultation with experienced engineers.

Research

R&D can enable synchronization for especially demanding scenarios, in e.g., radio astronomy, networks of satellites, localization with sub-millimeter precision and power-grid infrastructure.

Our Latest Projects

We are currently funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research under the identifier VIP+ 03VP06431 to validate mutual synchronization at clock frequencies of 24 and 60 Gigahertz.

Theoretical modeling
Theoretical modeling

We develop and establish the mathematical tools necessary to understand the complex dynamics in systems of mutual delay-coupled oscillators.

Demonstrators and Testbeds
Demonstrators and Testbeds

We design and develop BiCMOS integrated phase-locked loop architectures to be used in mutual synchronization. This includes the control interfaces and cross-coupling solutions.

Business Formation
Business Formation

VIP+ funding supports the validation of scientific results to explore and prepare the formation of a business following the validation phase. In this case the potential is in technology consulting, network synchronization design and R&D support.
